Self-Care is Self-Love with True Beauty Brooklyn’s Alix Shapiro and Elizabeth Taylor

On this new episode, Dr. Dan welcomes guests Alix Shapiro and Elizabeth Taylor – beauty experts, estheticians, and the hosts of the popular Exactly Right podcast True Beauty Brooklyn – to talk about their podcast, self-care, diversity, acceptance, and why we all need self-love.

Alix and Elizabeth talk to Dr. Dan about their self-care rituals and Dr. Dan challenge listeners to find small moments of self-care in their own lives every day (a walk, a bath, time with pets, taking care of your own body).

On their True Beauty Brooklyn podcast, Elizabeth and Alix invite friends who identify as women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and groups that have historically been marginalized to share their life journeys, exchange stories, moments of triumph, and moments of loss.

True Beauty Brooklyn is a private beauty studio based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and a second location is coming soon.
