The KrazyGirl (and Guy) Parent Survival Guide with Marci and Courtney Ober
Dr. Dan welcomes the mother and daughter team Marci and Courtney Ober, founders of the KrazyGirl Project, to bust myths about mental health and the stigmas around it.
As a result of the COVID pandemic, anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges have reached epic proportions over the last two years affecting adults, teens, tweens, and children. Marci Wolff Ober (LMFT) and her daughter Courtney founded the KrazyGirl Project, a 501(c) 3 charitable entity, in 2020 with the mission to promote mental wellness and education, free of charge, worldwide. They are also the authors of the book THE KRAZYGIRL (& GUY) PARENT SURVIVAL GUIDE: Helping Your Child of Any Age Thrive with Mental Health Challenges and host the Krazy Girls Ignite podcast.
Marci Wolff Ober, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist, mental health educator and advocate. Marci has worked with a wide variety of clients, in roles ranging from family therapist to clinical director of a major psychiatric hospital and is also a certified yoga teacher. For the past twenty years she has concentrated her efforts on her private practice while raising her family in northern New Jersey.
Courtney Ober is a college senior working toward her PhD in clinical psychology. Having experienced the pain and confusion of her own mental health challenges at a young age, Courtney shares her poignant story and unique perspective about what it takes to be healthy and well, as a young person in the age of artificial Insta-perfection.
