Emotional Literacy with Dr. Shahana Alibhai

Dr. Dan interviews Dr. Shahana Alibhai about her TEDxTalk “Emotional Literacy for Better Mental Health” and her work as a family physician and mental health expert.

As a mother of three young boys (under the age of 6!), a mental health advocate, and a family physician, Dr. Shahana has a message for all of us – the foundation of all of our health starts in our mind.

After Dr. Shahana became a patient struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression, she realized what the missing link was – the mind.  She went on to dedicate her career to helping people “think better” and focus on mental health.

Dr. Dan and Dr. Shahana’s conversation today is filled with candor, humor, and refreshing honesty – shining light on and moving the mental health conversation forward.
