Zen Parenting with Cathy Adams

Dr. Dan interviews author, parent, therapist, podcaster, and co-founder of Zen Parenting Radio, Cathy Adams on this new episode.  The current mental health crisis for teens (and parents, too) makes today’s episode timely, urgent, and necessary.

Dr. Dan and Cathy discuss how parental self-awareness decreases stress and overwhelm for parents – and it leads to a more authentic and meaningful connection with their children. They also explore how to be present, the meaning and power of “Zen” and Cathy’s new book Zen Parenting: Caring for Ourselves and Our Children in an Unpredictable World.

Cathy Cassani Adams, LCSW, co-hosts the Zen Parenting Radio podcast with her husband Todd and they also host the annual Zen Parenting Conference.  Cathy is a clinical social worker, certified parent coach, former elementary school educator, and yoga teacher. She lives outside of Chicago with her husband and their three daughters.
