A Good Cry with Michael Cruz Kayne

Dr. Dan kicks off 2022 with a brand new episode: his moving interview with Emmy-nominated writer, comedian, and parent Michael Cruz Kayne.  The two discuss family, parenting, podcasting, loss, and grief.

Michael, currently an Emmy-nominated writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, lost his son 12 years ago and this tragedy was the motivation behind his podcast A GOOD CRY. Each episode is a funny, joyful, and sad reflection on grief.  Stephen Colbert was the first guest on the show.

Dr. Dan and Michael’s moving conversation about loss provides us with compassionate examples of healthy ways to talk about grief, honor our loved ones, and manage our complex emotions.

Michael Cruz Kayne is an award-winning Filipino-American comedian, actor and writer. Michael performs stand up and improv across New York and recently made his late-night debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers.  He lives in New York with his wife and two children.
